Willow Tree Figurines

Each of the now infamous Willlow Tree People and Willow Tree Angels was originally hand carved by artist Susan Lordi and is designed to provoke an emotional response and make people think about their loved ones.

Unusually, though, unlike other figurines, willow Tree figures are created without faces and the emotion is conveyed solely through body gestures like a well-placed hand or a tilt of the head.

Susan Lordi's inspiration came from the desire to help people remember what is important to them and to remember to maintain good relationships and this is something that is particularly evident in her seasonal pieces – including the Willow Tree Nativity figures.
